This Color Changing Audi RS7 Wrap is the Future
Perhaps you’ve seen your fair share of color-shifting paint jobs on a few cars on the road. If you haven’t, color-shifting is a paint mixture that will yield different colors depending on the angle and light source it’s exposed to.
Though most color-shifting paint jobs can be seen on modded VW GTIs and Honda CRXs, fear no more, because now you can get the same color-shifting technology on your beloved luxe ride. And you don’t have to ruin your original paint job, or even keep it forever. How, you may wonder? A wrap!
Wrap and paint technology has come a long way in recent years, as shown on this video, and a company called Autoflex Coatings calls themselves the “hyper car of wraps”. By the looks of it, such title may be warranted, as they’ve come up with a peelable, and high quality paint job that rivals OEM applications. Though technically it isn’t a ‘wrap’, as there is no material to apply and no cutting necessary, this looks more like a traditional paint job, but it can be removed like plasti-dip.
The video depicts a gorgeous Audi RS7 going through the painting process, until the final result is shown with the color-shifting technology, which is even scratch resistant.
