Watch an 1,000 Horsepower R34 Skyline Tear Up New Zealand

Here in the States, we have ridiculous stupid rules in regards to importing cars. The main stupid rule though is the 25 year clause, in which it states that you can realistically only import a car from another country if it’s considered a classic. That means 25-years-old or older are only allowed in.

This rule is completely antiquated and actually hurts the used car market. It also makes enthusiasts like us either yearn for something forbidden or take some fairly dangerous risks to see some of these ill-gotten goods.

A few months ago a guy got two years in jail and a $200,000 fine for importing a R34 Skyline without the proper paperwork. Oh yeah, and they crushed the car.

However, in New Zealand, pretty much anything goes as Matt Farah and the rest of The Smoking Tire crew found out in their latest video series, TST in NZ.

In the newest video, Farah drives a 1,000 horsepower “I-Demon” R34 Skyline GT-R. It’s safe to say that this car is sick and the way it builds power is just nothing short of staggering. Take a look.
