It’s amazing how much interest there is surrounding our converting this #porsche911 #GT3RS from an automatic #PDK #transmission to a manual! I never knew the #automobile industry had so much love for a little gear lever and a clutch pedal! Here’s to hoping that this one of a kind 🦄 loves to fly! #savethemanuals #GT3 #991GT3 #991GT3RS #porschemotorsport #RS #unicorn #carswithoutlimits #oneofakind #supercar #flat6 #flatsix #becauseracercar #porsche #911 #porsche911 #911R

BGB Motorsports made what Porsche wouldn’t, a 3-pedal 991.1 GT3 RS.

If you’ve been watching some of our front page news, or if your living quarters are not under a rock, you’ve noticed the buzz about Porsche’s new 991.2 GT3. Specifically, its trio of pedals to dance on. That’s exactly due to the fact the 991.1 GT3 exclusively used a PDK transmission. Porsche claims the new GT3 is not a 911 R with a few extra aero bits added. Though, it’s easy to draw parallels between the DNA in each car.

Florida is home to BGB Motorsports, and they’ve corrected the problem. Write a check in the amount of $45,000.00, and you’ll be rewarded with one of the best driver’s cars money can buy. BGB sources an actual 911 R transmission, which easily makes up for half the cost, and then has to use specialized coding to make all of the electronics work with each other.

Despite the 911 R gearbox and 911 R signals being sent between computers, this is all GT3 RS. Case-in-point, it will still use some things that made the RS such a track monster. Retained is the RS rear-wheel-steering program, and RS-specific traction control settings.
