The TUDOR United Sports Car Championship teams will descend on Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin this weekend for a two hour and 45 minute timed race which includes all four classes.

There are only three more events left after this weekend’s race at the four mile long Road America circuit. The championship battles in all four classes are heated, with only a few points making the difference between having a successful season and coming up short.

The battle for the Prototype lead couldn’t be closer. Only three points separate the leading No. 5 Action Express Racing Corvette DP of Joao Barbosa and Christian Fittipaldi and the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP of Jordan and Ricky Taylor.

The No. 90 VisitFlorida.com Racing Corvette DP of Richard Westbrook and Michael Valiante is just behind the leaders, in third and a mere six points ahead of the only LMP car to score a win this season, the No. 42 OAK Racing Nissan/Morgan of Gustavo Yacaman and Olivier Pla.

In Prototype Challenge, this has been CORE Autosports season as Jon Bennett and Colin Braun have established a moderate lead in the No. 54 car. 8Star Motorsports No. 25 of Luis Diaz and Sean Rayhall is in second only nineteen points ahead of the No. 8 Starworks Motorsports entry of Mirco Schultis and Renger van der Zande.

Corvette Racing has been a dominant factor this year in the GTLM category. The No. 3 Corvette of Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia has a 13 point lead over the No. 93 SRT Motorports Viper of Jonathan Bomorito and Kuno Wittmer. The battle for third has the No. 55 BMW Team RLL Z4 GTE of Bill Auberlen and Andy Priaulx leading the No. 91 Viper of Dominik Farnbacher and Marc Goossens by just 2 points.

It has been a hard fought battle so far for the GTD class leading No. 555 AIM Autosport Ferrari 458 Italia of Townsend Bell and Bill Sweedler. Cooper MacNeil and Leh Keen in the Alex Job Racing No. 22 Porsche 911 GT America are in second, just one point ahead of Paul Miller Racing’s No. 48 Audi R8 LMS of Christopher Haase and Bryce Miller.

Qualifying will be streamed on IMSA.com August 9 at 4:20 P.M. EDT. The Race will air on FOX Sports 1 August 10 at 6:30 P.M. EDT.
