TUSCC heads to Long Beach for the Tequila Patron Sports Car Showcase

The street course at Long Beach is uncharted territory for many of the Daytona Prototype teams. The focus this weekend will be on IMSA’s Balance of Power between the two vastly different style cars competing in its top class.  Daytona Prototypes have taken the win in the first two outings so far this year.

In the Prototype class, it will be a street fight between the Daytona and Le Mans Prototypes. The Le Mans teams have a shot at breaking the Daytona teams’ winning streak. The No. 5 Action Express Racing DP  is currently leading with the top LMP car, the No. 42 of OAK Racing, in fifth place thanks to a second place finish at Sebring.

The only other class running at Long Beach will be the GTLM class. Currently the No. 55 BMW Team RLL machine is leading in the point standings, followed closely by the No. 911 and No. 912 cars of Porsche North America, respectively.
