Watch: Sebastian Vettel Manhandle the LaFerrari Aperta

It’s no secret that Sebastian Vettel has replaced and and overfilled the void that Fernando Alonso left when he departed the scarlet Italian outfit. But just like Schumacher and Alonso previously helped develop Ferrari’s supercars, it’s Vettel’s turn to do so…

This YouTube video by, PistonHeadswas originally shown at the Paris Motor show during the Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta launch presentation. As you can imagine, the LaFerrari Aperta wasn’t the only one under the French spotlight; it was also Sebastian Vettel.

While I find the level of cheese in this video a bit high, it’d be impossible to not chuckle or even get a bit excited while watching some of the scenes. It looks like Ferrari definitely tried to evoke some of their past by tastefully dropping images or silhouettes of their most famous race cars, and even showing Juan Manuel Fangio piloting his F1 car on a very seductive lady’s sunglasses.

I wish the video would’ve shown a little more raw footage of Vettel manhandling the Aperta at the track, and less synthesized music and special effects. That being said, the part where Vettel sees Gille Villeneuve’s (could be Niki Lauda’s) Ferrari F1 car reflecting on the fuel truck is definitely my favorite part.

Do you agree?
