Video: The Simpler Supercars
We find ourselves at the doorstep to the next generation of hybrid supercars. They’ll be great to drive, but always somewhat related in concept to the Toyota Prius. Evo has gathered the McLaren F1, Ferrari F40, F50, Porsche Carrera GT, Noble M600, Pagani Zonda and Lamborghini Murciélago LP670-4 SV in one video to pay tribute to the era of viseral, gas-guzzling hypercars.
It should be one of the greatest video treasures on the Internet, but we should point out this video’s poor execution; for instance, Henry Catchpole reviews all seven cars from the McLaren F1’s cockpit. This video is really a half-effort that was produced to sell more magazines instead of dazzling its viewers, but you can forgive all that. As long as we can see these cars assembled and unbridled, Henry Catchpole could have reviewed them from his toilet seat.
There are many people out there who believe we’ll never see an A-list gathering like this again. I disagree for two reasons: a) I’m an optimist, and b) gathering cars like these for a video is the simplest way to generate millions of YouTube views. Therefore, enjoy the video, and stay tuned for more.
