How to Properly Spank a McLaren 675LT at Silverstone
As production began on the new McLaren 675LT, orders halted because all 500 examples were sold almost immediately. The new McLaren approaches itself very much in the same way that the 650S approached the 12C. McLaren has made thousands of minor adjustments, and those adjustments sum up to make what was already thought of as an amazing car, just that much better.
The new 675LT gains 25 horsepower, loses 220 lbs, and gets a whole heaping of more downforce thanks to a newly restyled front splitter, rear diffuser, and new rear wing. Drifting god Chris Harris was on hand for the launch of the new car at Silverstone Circuit in England. In the video below, the Brit describes the 675LT has faster than most racing cars, and that ostensibly, the 675LT feels like a baby McLaren P1. And with all the P1 technology that went into the 675LT, it’s not hard to see why he feels that way.
