When Opposites Attract: Tesla Plaid v. Aventador SVJ Drag Race
Normally the races are done heads up in 1000 ft, but the two drivers would agree to a 1,500 ft for the first round. Is there a chance for the Lambo with cards stacked against him?
Best of Three Takes It All
Round 1
The Lamborghini would surprisingly take the Tesla off the line, which makes us believe Parzivand was not running the Plaid in drag mode.
While the SVJ was able to hold the lead for the first couple seconds, by the 1,500 ft mark the Tesla had a solid two car lead for a decisive win.
Round 2
The second round would bring some slight alterations of the rules established in the first race. The couple would now only run to the standard 1,000 ft.
In addition, the SVJ would get a two car length starting advantage to the Plaid. However, this would still prove to be futile, as the Tesla would yet again take the victory.
Round 3 (Bonus)
In more of a “well, we might as well” round, the two agree to a 70 mph roll race as the final format. Will this finally be the scenario in which the SVJ is capable of taking it?
Well, the short answer is no, as the Plaid would take the Aventador again by at least two car lengths. Ouch.
Long standing resident Hoonigan scumbag Vin Anatra would clarify with this statement after seeing the results of the three battles:
“For everyone out there that is glofiying the Plaid, just look at how unexcited we are about the Plaid. The Lambo is way cooler.”
Well, while we knew these would most likely be the results from the get-go, we weren’t too disheartened.
It seems that for some people like us it’s not just about going fast, but how you go fast. It goes without saying that we would take the SVJ a million times over the Plaid, regardless of context.
