1971 Porsche 911T

The Porsche brand is special for many people, but for John Willhoit, Porsches are what get him out of bed in the morning. When Porsches are the impetus behind one’s next heartbeat, beautiful things happen.

As you meet Willhoit in this Petrolicious video, you’ll quickly discover this man has a passion for German stuff. We suspect his general Teutonic obsession stems from his Porsche fixation.

Willhoit drives a 1971 Porsche 911T, a car he bought from his sister’s next-door neighbor 20 years ago. Let’s delve into what he had to go through to become the 911T’s owner. When he found the car, its condition was deplorable: Water filled the coupe’s cabin all the way to the bottom of the door. When he was ready to move the car, he had to tear down the neighbor’s fence, then slide the Porsche onto the tow truck’s flatbed using WD-40 because the wheels were immobile.

John Willhoit and Porsche

Most people would consider that story a nightmare, but for Willhoit, it’s all part of the fun. It must be that “German thing” he talks about in the video below.
