The Wireframe Lamborghini Countach by Benedict Radcliffe

Bernini, Brancusi, Donatello, Michelangelo, Rodin… Names of some of the greatest sculptors of all time. British artist Benedict Radcliffe may never be mentioned in the same sentence as the aforementioned heroes of sculpture, but in the automotive-sculptors realm, Radcliffe has made himself a legend by creating “Koenig”, a life-size wireframe Lamborghini Countach scale model.

Radcliffe told Road & Track it took “an encounter with a tuned Lamborghini on the Brands Hatch paddock” to provide the inspiration to transform 160 feet of wire into this fluorescent-orange masterpiece

Even if you distantly follow the art scene, this sculpture is something that could lure you closer. You may even be able to own it by placing a bid during the RM Auction in Paris on Feb. 5, 2014.
