Twelve of the greatest sports cars in the world come together for one immensely epic drag race. The winner? It will shock you.
Every now and then we come across folks who think drag races simply “aren’t all that.” In the end, racing in a straight line may not be as exciting as other motorsport disciplines, but it sure as hell is when some of the greatest automobiles are involved.
This video uploaded to the Motor Trend Channel brings us the “World’s Greatest Drag Race 7.” The epic launch fest takes place at the Vandenberg Air Force Base in the California Desert, on a 15,000-feet-long straightaway designed for NASA space shuttles to take-off and land on.
The cast of this race includes 13, errr, 12 cars (sorry Mazda MX-5) lined up side by side:

As much as we want to keep the winner secret the result is too spicy to keep to ourselves. But instead of blatantly putting it out there, we’ll just give you a big hint. Ready? It’s American!
That’s right, the land of the free and the home of the bald eagle conquered over Italy, Germany, Japan, Great Britain and even America itself.
