WTF is This GT-R?
Godzilla strikes fear in our hearts and lust in our loins! Ok, maybe not, but it’s a pretty epic car. I just drove one the other day for the first time and to say it isn’t a psychotic animal is just plain wrong. That said, it’s been around for quite some time and is looking a bit long in the tooth.
We know that Nissan is working up some kind of crazy voodoo magic getting the next GT-R up and ready soon, but we aren’t really sure what it will look like or be powered by. That said, we are super confused about whatever this is?
Spotted running around Europe, this camo covered GT-R represents something none of us know about. It’s definitely not a Nismo.
It’s definitely not just a plain GT-R because why else would they cover up the front grille? It could be a slight refresh, but why bother when they are so close to replacing it?
One theory is that it could be a mule for the next GT-R, but from all the rumblings I’ve heard, Nissan hasn’t even decided which engine to put into it so I doubt they’d be this far along.
I’m stumped people, a few people in the office think it could be a final edition GT-R, but I would think that Nissan would want to pull out all the stops for that, and this just isn’t radical enough. What do you all think, anyone got a clue what this is?
