Zuckerberg’s Bought A Custom Stretched Cayenne… Minivan?

Zuckerberg

Porsche has never made a minivan, so Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg had a Cayenne minivan made for his wife.

When you think of celebrity car enthusiasts, you think of Leno, Seinfield, Cena, and dozens of others. A name that rarely gets mentioned? Mark Zuckerberg. But, the founder of Facebook just ordered two Porsches, and they have quite the bespoke spec.

Of most interest out of the two is a West Coast Customs modified Cayenne Turbo GT. They took a Cayenne, stretched the frame, added electric sliding doors and added more seats according to Road & Track. Captains chairs now sit in the middle row, so essentially it’s a 7-seater, or so it appears. To be honest, the result is what you’d get if you asked Meta AI to imagine such a creation.

On instagram, Zuckerberg posts the new ride saying, “I’ve been designing something I’m pretty sure should exist.” And while we would initially think this might be a bad idea, the final result is surprisingly… uncomplicated. Additional doors weren’t added, so it’s not like an attempt to make a limo. Instead the area aft of the rear door has been stretched, to accomodate the kind of doors we typically see on a minivan. So the overall shape and dimensions don’t find themselves in some kind of uncanny valley.

So what has accidentally been created is arguably one fast minivan. Maybe even the fastest. The R63 AMG is close-ish to a minivan, but falls short of the Turbo GT’s 650 horsepower by a wide margin. And doesn’t even touch the 2.8 second dash to 60 mph. Stretched, and likely with more heft, this might loose a bit of pace, but it can still reach immense speeds.

With a matching his/hers, Zuck’ went one step farther, ordering a custom GT3 Touring. Matching paint included. Cool factor is upped by the fact he picked a manual gearbox. If this all seems a bit surprising, you wouldn’t be alone. We had no idea the Facebook founder was a gearhead, but R&T reports he’s also got a Cadillac CT5 Blackwing. Bravo Zuckerberg! Long live the manual gearbox.
