I am trying to install a shift light, I'm trying to fiqure out what wire(s) to tap into. I'm asking about the tacho signal not power or ground. Any help greatly appreciated.

If you seach the history - there is a post I made somewhere explaining which wire. I think it is brown with a colored stripe, but I forget. I will try to confirm...
Update: It's the violet/green wire avove the OBD2 port.

Elliot,
I have the Brockway (6) sequential light and it is great. You can Program start RPM and rpm's between each light. Three yellow, 2 green, 1 red. This is the only picture I can find that shows it.

I mounted mine above the steering column
I find the sequential nature very helpful. also I have mine set at 300rpm incriments for me anything less is too short.
I set the top (red) at 6600 then that makes the last yellow 6300 the first yellow 6000. then the greens let you know when you are in the power band.
but dont kid yourself it for me is still tough to keep an eye on during a road race!!
Also I never use it in first gear as we never use it on the track other than in the paddock.
