Looks like Porsche's time was pretty close to what they claim, while Nissan's is way off.
GTR:
Claimed: 7:26 (I believe this is their latest claim)

And by different do you mean "no one (including numerous professionals) except Nissan knows how?". The GTR is a fantastic performer, an overachiever even, but let's not kid ourselves. No independent test has been able to get within 20 seconds of Nissan's claimed times around the 'Ring, and on the street I've killed (slaughtered) one multiple times from varying speeds in a 121mph trapping car.

Wasnt this car supposed to be easy to drive fast?
Several extremely fast drivers including WR couldn't match Nissan's time. Out of anyone WR should have been the fastest driver with his excellent Ring knowledge and his 4WD experience.
