Ben Keaton??

Ben was your typical california good natured guy who lived in San Diego. He was successful with family and business, loved porsches, and drove a carrera GT. IME he had zero attitude, just a love for life and a passion for cars. He gave rides in his CGT to folks that he had never met (like me) similarly to how most folks loan you a penny. I'm sorry he had to depart so soon.

I still remember seeing the day of his passing on the news, and later found out how big he was on the forums here. Amazing person from what I hear, i wasn't fortunate know him but would have been honored to. Hopefully hes enjoying Porsches in heaven right now

At the time, he was THE Carrera GT info source as he had a fairly early delivery
(US) of the Carrera GT. He was extremely active on 6speed and Rennlist in regards
to all things Carrera GT. He lost his life (and that of a friend/fellow enthusiast) in
His Carrera GT at a track event. The details as to how/why, etc, are still not
completely understood. It was a very sad day for both of their families.

I wasn't very active in term of posting on 6speed back then but have definitely seen Ben's input into the original 6speed community and completely agree that he was truly a good hearted individual and is greatly missed.
