SL55 or SL600?
If you guys had to choose between an SL55 or SL600...which one would you buy? I believe the 600 has the potential to make more power given the twin turbo layout vs the 55's supercharger. But as an overall package...which one would you prefer?

It really depends on what you want... IMO the sl 600 is more of a classy, elegant laid back car that happens to have a sweet turbo v12.. As where you look at a sl 55 and you can tell its fast... If i pulled up next to a 55 you would wanna see what it could do... a 600 you would wanna see who was driving it...
I dunno, when i think of a 600 i don't necessarily think of fast.. though they are... though not totally appropriate in my mind a 600 is a sleeper

Well, SL 600 has all that weight of the V12 on the front, which makes it feel more clumsy than the SL 55 IMO. You really need to testdrive both cars and decide for yourself.

I prefer the looks of the 55 myself, but there is something about seeing that 600 on the back that makes you wonder "who the heck gets the 600?" hahahaha
Both are great...for me (25 yr old male) id go with the AMG 55...but my father (65 yr old) would prally pick the 600.

I know the SL600 can easily make 645hp with a simple and relatively inexpensive ($10K) Kleeman upgrade. I don't know if a 55 is capable of such massive power?

I went through the decision process and the SL55 came out on top. When you spec out both cars with sim options the price difference is very little. The AMG has better handeling because of less weight in the front and I think there is a link on the net somewhere showing that the SL55 has slightly better lap times than the SL65. The Kleeman upgrade to 585hp/628tq was just a bit over 8k. The sound from the exhaust is a lot louder now to boot, but not really noticeable at traveling speed.
