Man.....I love this section. After unloading my 996TT, I've been looking something more interesting to replace it....I think I've made up my mind.

I'm going to look for a late '60s 911. I love the chrome contrast. Saw one about 15 years ago. Beautiful red car with BBS wheels. It was awesome.

Wow Steve, your car is beautiful! What was done to accomodate those size wheels? I currently have 16x7 front and 16x8 rear, on an 83sc.

You could get 8"s and 9"s in there without any modification. Just pick up a set of 9"s and you should be straight.

Yes, but what about 17". I know I would have to raise my car, as it is quite low. (lower than euro spec).

Wonder if the steering would be too heavy with 8's up front.?.

I don't think you would need to raise the car to get 17"s in there. You will just get a lower profile tire and the outside diameter of your tire will be the same. Garnetredcoupe's car is pretty low, and I guarantee that he did not need to raise it to fit the 17"s on it.

Thank you! The fenders needed to be rolled and the fronts were cut out. I haven't experienced any rubbing yet.

I don't think it’s too heavy at all. Parallel parking is fairly easy and even with the larger tires up front (I am running 235/40) it doesn't wander on bumpy roads.

I like those wheels with body colored centers. I even have thoughts of doing mine in red or orange with a matching fan. Anyone good at photoshop? lol
