1975 911 Slantnose??
It's a shot in the dark here, can anyone help me figure out what exactly this is? I've had it offered for us to buy it, but I'd like to know a bit more before I dive in head first, what exactly this is.
It's a 1975 911, but it's got that slantnose/widebody on it... Everything on the car is in German, so, it means next to nothing to me.
If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it. The guy swears it's all original (widebody, not aftermarket). It's modified, and obviously been repainted (although I believe the color could be original...?)
The VIN is 9115300064. The owner died, and it's being sold through his estate.
Thanks,
Em

Unqualified answer, but...
64th car off the line...
Looks like a 911S widebodied car with a slantnose (obviously).
Not sure if that was an actual prod. model or one with after purchase add-ons.
It would be nice to find out what the "H" designation on the VIN plate means.

Join this other forum... (sorry mods)
...and look through the following thread...
There's a guide to ten digit VIN decoding in a (Jason Andreas) post there.

Or try here...

Otherwise, Suncoast may help you decode the VIN if you email it to them.

1) It's not a factory widebody (one was not offered until after 1984 in the 3.2 Carreras)
2) It's not a real slantnose as those also were not offered by the factory till the mid 80's.
3) That car looks like a mess that is not worth more than $5k. If they are "offering" it to you for more than that, run away.
