It will be more fun to drive than an SC or 3.2 Carrera (lighter/nimbler) and almost as quick if the engine was done right. My stock 2.7RS does 13.2s in the 1/4 mile, a strong 3.2 Carrera can do close to 14 flat.
Wow I had no idea they were that quick. If everything on that rs clone were in great condition I would pick it up if I were you, that car is so nice!

Honestly...the SC is prolly your best bet. That RS replica would be a better deal if it had a 3.0 or larger motor in it.

The prices are buyer dependant.....If "I" were in the market for another older 911...I would not look at anything under $17,000. You get what you pay for. You can not touch an 83 SC like mine for under $20,000. Many in its condition have sold for mid 20's lately. Nobody buys a 911 hoping to "make" money....but if you follow the trends...really good condition SC's are on the climb.

There are a TON of 911's in the $10,000 to $35,000 range. Once you look at enough of them you will see why there are such great price differences. A $12,000 SC is nowhere near what a $19,000 SC is. A $14,000 3.2 is nowhere near the car a $29,000 3.2 is.

You know that SC you showed does not have AC? Older 911's do not have very good AC, even if they are brand new working units. Mine has a new compressor, and cools the car...but I never use it anyway.

You seem to not really be sure what you want. I would test drive a few dif types to get the feel of what your looking for. Once you find something you would buy....get a PPI done on the car and offer a price if it checks out.

Good Luck!

PS......PPI!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a nice looking car. I can't tell if that is overspray underneath or not?

Oiler mod for the chain tensioners is a big must have for the pre 84 cars, you don't want the timing chain blasting out.

Overall looks clean, records are the main thing, make sure the car has plenty.

The 915 tranny synchros can be a bear, (they strip and need to be replaced)just went through it with my car ($2,500), so if there are any trans issues, you can pretty much be assured it will cost you.

I am about to sell mine (84 guards red 69K miles, in pic) here in a month if you are interested let me know.

The blue 911 is the Chesapeake Region PCA presidents car for what ever that it worth. I would stick with a SC or 84-89 3.2 for duty as a DD.

1969 911 T: very nice, no rust, CA car.

Description
This is a very solid California long wheelbase narrow bumper 911 coupe; there is no rust in the car what so ever! This Porsche is a three owner SF Bay Area car.

The paint appears to be original except for the front fenders and hood and is quite nice, given its age. It has great luster and is smooth and oxidation free. There is some stone chip damage on the leading edge of the hood and the spoiler. The front bumper (lower section) is fibre-glass, the original is not available, but a correct rust free example is available in a different color.

Approximately 12 years earlier the car was converted to a 2.4 litre motor and the 915 gearbox. (The original engine and transmission are not available.) Instrumentation is correct for a Model "T". Seats are latter year, but are in excellent condition; door panels appear original and are excellent. Dash has the typical crack near the instrument pod, and likely is not in great shape, there is a dash cover affixed with glue, thus I can not comment further as to its condition. Headliner has slight tears at corner of roll bar. The roll bar is bolted in, not welded thus may be easily removed. The original steering wheel goes with the car as does the partial tool kit and a spare with a steel wheel. Fuchs are in good shape, but paint on them is tired. Suspension is stock configuration with Bilstein front and Koni rear shocks.

The car is up-to-date on service, oil and valve adjustments current. Bushings all appear excellent. Brakes are good. Clutch take up positive and no slippage at higher gears. The engine is strong and free of leaks; it revs freely and pulls very well, drops to a nice even smooth idle. This is a very nice running and driving early 911! It's in extremely solid condition and would make an excellent example for a full restoration or a wonderful driver now or, potentially a nice vintage racer or track car.

Description
1995, 993 Porsche 911, silver with black interior, manual transmission, and approx. 175,000 miles. I am the second owner and put approx. 22,000 loving miles on her the past year and half. The car has been repainted and the interior is remarkably fresh. I have a copy of the front and back of the first title from the first owner. This car has been driven and taken care of; the engine has not had nor does it need major repair work. It sweats a little oil around the transmission to engine area (I think its at the oil pressure sending unit) but its very minor; it’s not even a major drop on the garage floor. I changed the oil every 10,000 miles with Mobil 1 0-40, so that’s three changes since I owned it including when I first bought it. I found myself adding one quart of oil twice between changes.

I recently installed H&R Springs and replaced the rear Bilstein HD shocks, including alignment at a Porsche dealer. Over the past year and half I have replaced the brakes (pads & rotors) on all corners, plugs/wires/caps/rotors, power steering rack, oil pressure sending unit, wiring harness recall, head light lens, installed new HID lamps, clutch lever upgrade, O2 Sensor, all filters, all fluids.

This car as no known issues and she is a daily driver. The rear tires are getting thin and the wheels need refinishing (no curb rash just failing paint). I recently painted the calipers red, the Porsche logos are white decals with a clear coat sealer. The A/C blows cold and this is the time of year to tell.

It’s got all the original goodies, including manuals, tools and air compressor.

Price just reduced to $20,000.

This car has a clean car fax and the body is in excellent shape. I haven't found any evidence of any exterior paint work. The interior could use new floor mats and the driver's seat is showing some wear on the bolster. Otherwise the interior looks great. Non-smoker car. It does have Super Trap mufflers which give a nice sound (not obnoxious). It also has a Limited Slip Differential. The air blows ice cold and the windows, seats, sunroof, etc all work. Recently the oil was changed, brakes flushed, replaced front brakes pads and rotors, clutch master cylinder replaced, ignition coils replaced, sunroof cables replaced, new tires and alignment. For the quickest response please call my cell at 313-570-2223.

Fully documented three owner from new history with all service receipts, even the original purchase papers. Options include: sun roof, cruise control, AC, power seat on driver's side with lumbar too, rear wiper and 16" Fuchs. The car has been in the SF Bay Area all its life.

This 911 is in really nice condition, and has been very well cared for by its prior owners. A Valve job (guides) and a clutch were done at 74k rest of the service receipts document oil changes, basic services, and brakes. This has been a very reliable and good 3.2. I can note some paint repair on the right rear quarter and a door, which was done nicely... all panels appear to be original and all have their tags from Porsche. All body gaps and seems are excellent.

Interior is excellent, even carpets are really nice for 20 yrs. All mirrors, wipers, roof, seats work. Wheels are in perfect condition and have color crests, car cover, and upgraded stereo. Nice mats, trunk liner and rear parcel shelf mat too. This 911 has all its correct, books, jack, spare tire compressor, and even 1987 Model Year Factory Brochures. All services are also stamped in the book and as mentioned earlier I have all the receipts documenting its service history here locally. No dash cracks and the headliner is perfect. No battery area rust, windshield is good. Call 650-261-1777
