Blackbird Transforms to 935 K3 Phase 1
Okay so due to my motor needing a retune I figured that it was time to also get the K3 bodywork off of the wall at Zuffenhaus which will allow us to lower the rake on the rear of the car and install the Über wing.

Install ITB's
Fab & Install 935 headers
Fab & Install 935 motor cradle
Relocate turbos to rear of car
Install custom Bell Intercooler in rear seat area
Refab ITB plenums to reroute duct to outside face of plenums
Body
Rear K3 quarter panels

Custom K3 side/rocker panels to match Jagermeister car with straight rockers
Composite/Carbon fiber 993 Evo doors with 935 mirrors
Lexan rear window

Sunroof delete with 1972 911 roof welded in
Custom tubular rear crossmember a la K3 (truncated chassis)

More progress on the seats:
I can't say thank you enough to Stefan for his work on my seat, i'm thrilled and overjoyed about the results.
Stefan, you are the MAN!
He was charged with taking my original 935 Vasek Polak lollipop and upholstering it in the Peter Gregg tartan plaid - and along the way he fixed a couple of cracks in the headrest (seat is for shows and light driving). Best upholstery guy to deal with, knowledgable and delivered exactly what I asked for with no issues or dissapointments.
One VERY happy customer.

Thanks for the nice words guys - the work on the car is being done in Charlotte, NC at Zuffenhaus - if you read Excellence then you should know that shop well
The seat was done in Austin, Tx by a former 935 driver and very very kewl guy named Stefan Scheissing.
Update from Zuffenhaus is the MOTEC is being tuned this week/end and the bodywork should go on either today or monday...can't wait. Only 7 more days until i'm there and she should be driveable.
I'm glad the Pcar guys get a kick out of this one as its nice to see and know that the history and inspiration of the ***** to the wall 935 isn't lost and it still gets the shocked looks and awe inspired gazes that befit her. I was losing faith there for a bit that most Pcar guys in current cars were unaware of the origins of their turbos and how Porsche became such a dominant force - but it looks like i'm pleasently surprised...
