My first Porsche, a 1987 930
Well, the dream has finally come true. My father raised me from the back seat of his 911. When I got to big to fit in the back seat, he had to move on to getting bigger cars. But he never stopped talking about his love for Porsche. Like Father, like Son. Come race day, we would sit in front of the TV, yelling and cheering on our favorite Porsche, as he would tell of the "Good Old Days" of watching 917/30's rocket around the Riverside Raceway, in the 70's. When I got old enough, he was finally able to get back into the drivers seat of a Porsche. For the past 10 years now, he has had several, including a 996 C2, 996 Turbo, 997 Turbo, and the latest is his new 2010 GT3(This is one wicked Porsche). We recently had the opportunity to go to the Monterey Historics, where Porsche was the featured mark. I fell in love with the 935. Now, I'm finally situated in life to be able to climb into the drivers seat of a Porsche myself. The choice was between a '96 993 C4S, or a '87 930. I just couldn't take my eye's off the beautiful red paint, and those sexy wide hips of the 930. The gentlemen I bought the car from, took me for a ride, and when I finally pealed myself off the seat and could talk again, I said something like " S-s-s-Sold". Here it is, my first Porsche. A 1987 930

The pic's came off my phone. This beast came with a list of upgrades:
An Andial built 3.5 conversion with twin-plug heads and bigger cams
Andial intercooler
K-27 Turbo
Upgraded sway-bars
Front strut brace
just to name a few
I've been told this baby gives an est. 500 hp

The car came with the Kinesis wheels. They are 17"x9" front and 17"x11" rear, with Michelin PS2 225 front and 315 rears. I've spent the last week doing homework on 18"s. I finally decided on HRE 560R's 18"x8.5" front and 18"x11" rear, with the centers painted red to match the car. Mike and Brian at Stuttgart Performance had the best deal on them. Mike and Brian are really cool guy's to talk to and have a shop, and warehouse full of dream cars. If anybody is interested in buying my Kinesis wheels, let me know.
