996 Turbo wheels & tires on a 944 Turbo?

Just as the title says. I'm guessing the offset in the rear would be too negative but has anyone done this? Thanks!!!

EDIT: The lug pattern might be different, I'm checking that now!!!

Depends on what year 944T. The 86's have different offsets than the 87 and up. The bolt patterns are the same, but I don't know if the offsets are or not. With that said, I have seen 944T's with 996TT wheels on them, but I don't know what they had to do to make them fit.

Never mind, it's a 911, not a 994. Sorry

Just to put in my two cents. You cannot fit 996TT wheels on a 88/89 944T. The back wheels will stick out to far over the q panels. I have both cars and have tried it. The standard 996 wheels will fit, as far as I know.

Correct. They will fit an early offset turbo (86) with spacers, but 87 and later is a no go.

Hi,

You can fit them on an 86 944T (951) but they will stick out on an 87 944T.

You can look at the pictures here http://onekoncctv.com/turbotwist/

The car they are on is an 87 944T they are 295/30/18's rear and 225/40/18's front

The front fits fine maybe a 1/4" 7mm spacer would make it even better or else you need to remove the grease cap on the front rotor if you don't want to use the spacer

The rear sticks out 1/2"

The offsets on the wheels is et45 rear and et50 front they will fit perfectly on an 86 I would recommend 14" 7mm spacers all the way around.

I tried these on my 86 944T and my 87 so I am sure of what I am saying.

You should weight the cost of the oem rims with aftermarket wheels also. I would say a fair price for rims like the ones in the pictures with tires would be around $1500.

Hope that helps,

Onekon
