Fabspeed 944 Turbo 3.0” and 4.0” Full Exhaust Package

Fabspeed wants to remind everyone with a Porsche 951/ 944 Turbo about our exhaust package that is available. The package consists of the 3.0” Catbypass pipe with downtube which makes 20+HP alone, Turbo top outlet pipe and a 3.0” or 4.0” catback Maxflo exhaust to increase boost and reduce backpressure off the turbo. This is a required upgrade for all 944 turbo street and track cars. We have a 3.0” and 4.0” version to suite all different and modified cars with higher horsepower motors. If you are looking for a new exhaust that sounds awesome, makes horsepower and reduces Turbo lag, this is the option you want. The exhaust tip will fill in the factory bumper outlet much better and look more aggressive.

I run a 3" Fabspeed on my car and it is amazing. Also, don't forget, Fabspeed has replacement downpipes (off the turbo). It is becoming more common that the inner walls are collapsing on the stock downpipes, and block the proper exhaust flow. If you are going to have your turbo off, might think about picking up a downpipe and replacing it!

Thanks PorscheDoc for the great feedback, that technical information is important and most owners dont realize something like that happens. Its a nice upgrade and well worth it when doing work with the turbo to make the installation easier. We have the 944 Turbo Top pipes in stock and we are doing a $250 special till March 1st. That is a great deal on the downpipe, well worth it, and a no brainer when doing any turbo work. The question isn't if the inner wall will collapse, it is when.

A stock downpipe failure. Almost every downpipe I pull, the inner wall is cracked around the edges.

is the flange where this exhaust mates to the downpipe a true 3", or does it taper down to fit the stock downpipe?

Hi Nize, ours is a full 3.0" system but it will bolt directly to the downpipe because they use the same type of flange, but the size of the tubing may be a bit smaller on the factory piece compared to our full 3.0" setup.

It does taper down to fit the stock downpipe (2.75" IIRC). It is not smaller than the stock downpipe diameter though so it isn't a restriction unless you are running a full 3" downpipe, and then goes up to 3" immediately after that neck that you see in the picture.

Hi Nize, our entire exhaust system is available in both full 3.0" and 4.0". We came out with the Turbo top pipe at a later time and this is why our downpipe tapers down in the beginning. The design will not make major difference in the restriction but If you are interested in the system, I can have one of my fabricators make the change on the pipe.

i already have the lindsey 3" exhaust which has the exact same restriction taper at the downpipe flange.

what i am looking for is a true turbo-back 3" system including the downpipe.

what i really need is only a 3" downpipe and a true 3" downpipe-to-cat section (without the taper), but if i have to buy the whole system to get an end-to-end 3" from the turbo back, i probably will.

is this something you have available? i took a look around your site but do not see any 3" downpipe offering. thanks.

Their downpipe is a replacement for the stock piece, size is 2 3/4".
