You can send them out on exchange for rebuilt factory units. I would not just send 1 though, send the pair out. Hope all is good in AZ Dan!

Yes, you can change the ball joints in the aluminum control arms (except the 968 arms). Give travis @ rennbay a call and he can get you set up if you want to do the work yourself. You can also buy rebuilt arms with core exchange from vertex auto for about 199 an arm. I've got a fresh arm from vertex for the driver side that has never been installed $100 takes it (late offset 87+).

How are you? i just coudn't stay away from the 944t so i bought another one. 89 very clean but a driver so i can enjoy. seems one of the ball joints on the passanger side is bad so I need to get it fixed. Everything else is good in AZ. Its hot but thats nothing new, when will you be out this way?

GODS951 is infamous around these parts
Probably doesn't answer your question, but when my ball joints failed on my 951, I opted for the PAP-PARTS re manufactured control arms and have been holding up since (4+ years). Also, they let me keep my old control arms, which i am thinking about doing a DIY using one of the ball joint replacement kits just so I have spares.

If you go to the Rennbay kit, be sure to get the one with bronze inserts. They're good.Nylon ones last about 3 months...
