87 944S clutch adjustable? if so how?
Hi there. I am a new Porsche 944S owner. 1987 with 132k miles. it's been well cared for with all maintenance done and documented. Records were kept meticulously. My question is the clutch travel is longer than I prefer and not used to. Can I adjust the clutch to make the travel distance shorter and if so how? thanks.

Did you have to make your first post such a complicated question?
When you say a shorter distance I'm assuming you mean the distance from where the clutch is first fully disengaged to where the clutch is fully engaged. Correct?
Making the travel distance shorter will require changing the pressure plate and/or some other components of the clutch. It's not a simple job at all as several different things affect that travel distance.

yes. The distance I must let the clutch out before it engages in first gear when I give it gas. I'm used to the Miata I had where the clutch travel was much shorter and 1st gear engaged quicker. If its a real pain the rear, I'll just have to try and get used to it. Anyone else have an opinion?
