How to take off the headlights?
I originally posted this thread to ask how to remove the headlights, but after a little bit of playing I realized how easy it is. I realize that this is a simple procedure, but I'm going to post a step by step guide just in case someone else gets stuck like I did.
At first when I removed the screw at the bottom of the ring that surrounds the headlight I thought that I was missing something because it couldn't be a single screw holding that ring on... well it is a single screw holding the ring on. After removing the screw, I needed to pry at the bottom a little to get the ring loose, I used a flat nose screwdriver and a cloth so that I didn't scratch anything.
After you have the ring removed if you look inside the headlight housing there are four screws holding the headlight in place, the best way to describe which screws hold the headlight in place is by saying the corner screws (corner screws on a round headlight I know), you have to be VERY careful with these screws, they strip easily, I didn't have any problems, but from the looks of it a previous owner did.
You can see the screw holes in the next picture.
Once you have the headlight unmounted you can unclip the light bulb on the back of the light housing, then you twist the white retaining piece counter-clock wise and pull it off, then you can pull the bulb out and replace it.
