16 or 17 inch whees?
A friend has a '92 964 Carrera 4 and needs tires. The big question is should he keep his stock 16" or upgrade to 17" wheels. Does anyone know how this will affect the handling and balance of an already "perfect" car?

I have a 89 964 C4 and run 17" wheels and tires. I have never driven a 964 with 16" tires/wheels, but I can tell you that my car handles fine and I would suspect the ride not to be too much different than his 16". Performance is probably slightly better with the 17"-depending on wheel weight, width, etc.
Here are my tire sizes
205/50-17-front 255/40-17-rear

I had 17" Cup II on my old C4, worked fine, on & off the track.
I have a set of 8&10X17 ATP wheels off a 964 that I'm selling.
