Any folks out there with rust around the windshield? Heard it is a fairly common problem - mine was driven in the Chicago Area all-year-round during it's first few years - now stored in winters.

Looking for how you took care of it - only assuming had the shop pop the glass - and any suggestions for a paint shop in Minneapolis area.

My rust showed up about 5 years ago on my 91 C4, very light bubbling of the paint on the bottom of the window frame near the wipers.

My paint is in such poor condition I am waiting to save $$$ for a whole body respray and rust repair at the same time.

It is a common problem, for those of us in climates that get rain/snow.

No recomendation on body shop though...

I had mine repaired under the ten year warranty. It was rusting below the windscreen 6" from the left corner. They matched it pretty well.
