991 Turbo S vs McLaren 12C race by Autocar
I thought I would share this video I just saw of the new Turbo S racing a McLaren to 60 mph posted by Autocar, the British Car mag.
The road they are using doesn't look to be great (its narrow) but its cool to see how quick these cars are and how 4 wheel drive helps keep Porsche in the game.
What happens after 60 mph I am sure would be a little different story

Wait till the 991 GT2 RS comes out, it will be a MONSTER

The sound generator addresses that on the 991tts plus you really can't hear much when you're a few car lengths behind the turbo S

The Turbo S is over a full second slower to 200km/h compared to the MP4-12C. Good luck with that.

These vids are pure entertainment, no one truly cross shopping the two cars (which I was) is going to be swayed by this. I think the TT and 12C combo, on the other hand, would be the perfect all year all weather garage.

I have seen the 12C do 10.5 1/4 mi. Very impressive. We will see what the 991 tts can do unless you have seen it for yourself
Took Woking version2 to get the 12C to run properly. Does DORIS II work now
The fair comparison (price wise ) would be 991 GT2 RS vs 12C ;0)

But in seriousness, I'm excited to see the 991TTS as it SHOULD out perform the 997.2 Turbo S.

I don't think a lot of people are cross-shopping these...
I'd rather have the McLaren. It isn't even close.
The Porsche seems to be utilitarian, though. If I could only have one - it would win. If could have more than one car, the Mac would be next. I'm definitely interested to see these head-to-head as the new Turbo S starts hitting the streets.

Yes, it works as well as the Porsche's coolant pipes and RMS. Fortunately, McLaren updated software FREE OF CHARGE, unlike Porsche who continues to deny problems with engine design flaws.
