hot nikon,

Well put. I currently drive a 2011 S63 PP that spits 563hp/664lb-ft. Previously owned high-po AMG's and a couple of M cars.

I'm certainly aware these cars are not in the same vein as the TTS but I will marshal the throttle with the respect it deserves.

"involuntary spectator" - I love that.

B and O. I to drive a MB PP 63, but I've got a CL. This engine is a monster. I can run 3.9 to 60 and 12.0 @ 118 all day long. I had to get the TT because I knew I would disappointed with a non turbo car coming from a car with all that torque.

Hey Fixinbones,

I couldn't agree more - on spool this engine crushes. The CL is a gorgeous car and I would've opted for it had the Bang & Olufsen system been an option!

Also, I've got a G63 on order. I used to have a G55 Kompressor and am indeed curious to to see how the turbo compares.

Cheers,

Allan

I had an 09 CL 63 with the NA motor. Then got the 11 CL 63 with the TT. So much more power with the TT motor. Before the 11 CL I had ordered the G63. I was the first order at my dealer but it was taking too long and I just picked up a one year old 11 CL instead.

Fixinbones - that blows about the G. I've driven a '09 CL63 and absolutely no comparison to the '11 TT in terms of sheer power/torque but I did like the throttle tip-in a lot more on that car - the true '63' (6208cc).

1st Porsche Update….

Hey Guys/Suzy

Tardy pics…….. to be sure. Car is incredible - save a sunroof rattle. Got it late July - it is now early October with 98 km - truly sad. Travelling circumstances/logistics have interrupted the fun.

Swapped out the chrome script on the rump for matte black and front markers for clear.

Waffling on an exhaust upgrade…..

Could not be happier with the colour combo - the extended leather rules.

Big shout out to Stuart Coutts at Vancouver Porsche Centre - I think we may actually be friends!

Great Forum.

Cheers,

Allan

Even upside-down, GT Silver never disappoints.

1Blink,

Hilarious, I deserve that. The pics are by way of my sales guy here in Vancouver - unintentionally inverted. More pics attached.

Still infatuated with GT silver…..

My home office also has a GT variant.

Cheers.

Our cars are twins on the outside. Inside I also have CF trim, but all black interior. I really like your contrasting guards red stitching.

Hey 991TurboS,

Some of your earlier posts actually helped me decide on the GT Silver - and the glass sunroof - which has an incessant rattle/noise that I just recently noticed as I turned off the stereo to hear the turbos. Irritating.

The interior is called Garnet Red and I'm thrilled with the colour. Full black also rules.

The red/ black interior on GT Silver looks stunning! Actually, any color interior on GT Silver would look stunning . . .

eg991,

Thanks, man. Your car looks tight - envious of the 7MT!

Cheers.

Have you brought the car into the dealership to find a fix for the rattling noise. Mines is coming in a few weeks and I have the glass roof option as well and I heard it is almost impossible to avoid rattling on the glass roof.

No dealership visit yet - they have to install a new rock guard that was damaged in transit, as well. I don't know if it is 'impossible' to alleviate the sunroof rattle - did you have this information before you ordered your car?

It is a constant noise that (I've read on this forum) can dissipate over time.

Beyond unacceptable in a 230k car.

Anyway, we'll see what unfolds.

Allan

ps - did you purchase your TTS in Vancouver?
