I want you to help me with a decision I can’t seem to make. I want to buy a 991tts and from time to time I’m seeing some spy shots of the 991 facelift which according to the articles its 2016 model which probably would sell in mid or end of 2015. Is it true and shall I wait for the facelift?

 

There haven't been any real details on the changes for the facelift yet, if you're on the fence I'd wait until we hear more. I think the givens would be mild power bump (probably 20-30hp), bumper and light refreshes, and updated PCM. It's very unlikely we'll see anything as significant as the 997.1 -> 997.2 facelift IMHO.

On the Turbo the potential for a mild update was not all that big of a deal to me as it was just introduced in 14. If I want more power I will flash it. The car itself looks fantastic as is. If you are looking to build a car and are unsure I would expect there to be more info after the fall auto shows on updates for the 991. I liked the car and the deal I got and figured why not enjoy the TT now. In two years there will be even more options in the marketplace that may tempt me.
