I'm not sure if there are any slight hardware differences but multiple tuners have stated the outputs are the same once tuned.

I took it for granted he meant turbo vs turbo S. Usually that's how these threads go

Figured. Just being a weenie.

Unless you want PCCB, then the TT is great because with minimal mods and money you can get plenty of HP. Exact spec TT vs exact spec TTS you will spend a lot more for that extra HP when you can get it for cheaper with a few mods. I guess the can of worms will be, yeah but that could void the warranty.

Techart claims its 580 vs 620 with their box.

Speaking from the logic perspective, I believe they'd be the same - it's clear that a change in software can achieve the higher power, so why would a for-profit corporation change anything that they wouldn't have to?

I'd put my money on TT vs. S being same everything, save for software.

I beleive you are correct, hence my comment the real difference is the PCCB. Ovbiously the TTS comes standard with a few things that are options on the TT.

The S is basically just a fully performance optioned Turbo with the better tune thrown in.

But not exactly.

S's have continually dyno'd higher with the exact same aftermarket tune.

Some say the turbos are slightly larger.

It has been reported that the replacement part number on the engine is different so there is some difference.

I read in Christophorus article on the Turbo/Turbo S the only difference is the ECU programming. Of course that does not explain how a tune for the S and non S should make the same HP/TQ.

If you (OP) want the true answer, I'd bet calling the local parts department and comparing these numbers for yourself would yield the info.

They don't. Look at WhiteTTS dyno vs some of the TTS ones like for example mine with Cobb or FVD or SDG1871 from Champion with GIAC.
