Slipstream's Oct 17th East Coast Call Out Roll Races -- Who is Coming
Well we are only days away from Slipstream's Oct 17 and 18 roll races at East Coast Call Out.
Who from the 911 Turbo world is going? Our cars race on Oct 17th as that is the under 750 bhp day.
I know RobRob's Cobb\ByDesign Stage 3 car will be there and we are racing the first three races. We'll have passengers to even out the weight as I have my son and he needs to be a passenger and not a spectator on the sidelines. I understand that that car will be shaken down thoroughly this time and will be ready to race. Based on Dyno runs (this car had put down a Dyno run with 100 lbs ft more than mine) I am expecting to see that car's tail lights rather than this kind of race which he had at Atco where the car still had some bugs to be fixed:
Stated differently I am expecting to be crushed this time. LOL. Which actually would be OK by me if the cobb/bydesign team can produce that much more power safely than my car does. If they do maybe it's time for the VTG upgrade for me when it is out....

Would hate for someone to misconstrue the results based on your video production title. Just sayin....

If the Cobb/ByDesign car is sorted out and the Dyno results prove to be true in the real world that car should beat mine by least several car lengths at slipstream. That is certainly my expectation given that cars with those mods dyno at 100 more lbs ft than mine and given that JohnMorgan's Cobb Stage 2 991 TTS is just about as powerful and fast as mine.

I would love to. I was under the impression it was sold out. Is that incorrect?

I am just wondering about the point of the video, 10.62 @ 130.2 is unimpressive anyway irrespective of what went wrong on the white car which obviously something did...............

Maybe if SDG posts videos from the go-pro mounted on his car we could gain some insight regarding the rate of acceleration in the first 1/8 and the second 1/8. I'm especially interested to see the go-pro video against my car and jyupitt1's car because I think that would explain a lot of the data we are seeing on dyno runs.

I'll turn it away if you want to get my go Pro footage and edit it I'll just turn it over to you and you can do it. I will get around to doing it but I'm crazy at home and at work right now and I'm not very good at doing it and it takes time.

As I said I expect that if the white car performs as designed the result will be very very different and I'll be looking at its rear end before the race is over.

The guys have the car tight as a drum and it's running strong. Logs look great on the stage 3 map so I have no doubt it will impress us all. Sorry John and Scott are going to have to try and one up you with the 10.3's! Hoping to get super low 10's. The half-mile event will be nice as well. With similar horsepower but more torque a gap should be displayed. But in the higher mile per hour long pulls horse power becomes more important.

I will be interested to see how these cars do at ShiftSector which is a half mile. At Slipstream our roll races are only 1500 feet. No half mile events in the northeast to my knowledge. Wish we had some.
With a 100 lbs ft difference the Cobb/ByDesign 991 TTS should beat mine for sure. And I am coming with the same tune/mods that I had at Atco and at the Driving Force Club runway event

For the record and put nicely, I think that posting a "Crushing" against a car suffering from a major leak while knowing about it is not too appropriate or legit. Actually pretty weak and desperate. No matter who posted it and if they stated there was leak later. It was clearly known about. Everyone can be their own judge.
