Should I buy a set Turbo I wheels for the rear? I can't find any for offer on the internet but I thought I saw someone selling a set of four either here or at rennlist a while back but can't find the post now. Probably too late to get those but any help would be appreciated.

Yeah that is what I was thinking but I couldn't find them on the internet and I am sure Porsche will be over-priced.

Try ebay or Rennlist. I see 991 wheels, even fronts and/or rears separate randomly for sale from time to time. Might even find a complete set cheap enough to make it worth it then sell the fronts or hold on to them for a rainy day

The only Toyos I can find are 315's which are about 1/2" taller, will they fit the five lug wheels and what will the extra height do for my 1/4 times and traps?

I know 18s don't fit over the PCCBs in the front and I think 19s don't either. But I'm not entirely sure about 19s.
But I suppose you could run smaller diameter wheels in the back? Not sure how that would affect things.

Well it looks like the only available Toyo is 315/30/20 so I am probably going to have to buy a set of custom RC103's for the rear. The question is, do I pull the trigger or not, this is another $4k and my wife will throw a fit.

It has to be much less expensive and much more useful to run 18's or 19's in the back only off of a 997 or 996 application and put on some taller sidewalls so that the diameters match.
You're going to make me go figure out the drag radial with the same diameter as stock....

the stock 305/30/20's have a diameter of ...27.2"
18" drag radials with this diameter...
315/35/18 Toyo Proxxes TQ are 26.8"
305/40R18 Nitto NT555R Drag Radials are 27.7"
285/40R18 Nitto NT05R Drag is 27.09"
19" drag radials with this diameter...
305/35R19 Nitto NT05R Drag are 27.44"
345/30R19 Nitto NT05R Drag are 27.36" (and need an 11.5" rim and some careful spacing)
A stock 996 Turbo wheel is 18x11 ET45. Stock ET is 45 while 991 TT is 56mm, I believe. I put an 8mm spacer on without issue, so there is at least 48mm of no problem. Im not sure if an 18" wheel would clear the rear 390mm rotor, but I have a bad feeling.
Im sure an aftermarket 997 Turbo size wheel can be had in 19" that hold the 305/35/19 drag radial and fits over the rear brake without breaking the bank. That would be a $1500-1700-ish solution.

+1...I think a lot of 19s will fit. Most. But on 18 inch it will be hard pressed to find a wheel that will clear. You could also run a fairly inexpensive set of 19s in the rear. If the over all diameter is a little taller in the rear it's OK because you will run lower pressure. For example the 315-30-20 Toyo has been fine running under 30 psi with a factory front tire. I think if you are around +2% or so you're fine especially because the lower pressure will compensate. Unfortunately the 996 turbo wheels will not clear the brakes for sure. OZ wheels have some of the best clearance but I haven't tried yet on the 991. I don't think it will clear. The Brembo 380 mm with a fairly petite caliper barely clears with OZ, CCW, some HRE and BBS race wheels. The 991TT rears are almost just as massive as the front as far as overall clearance quoted. You also have to see if you want to get a full set or just arrears. Let me know if I can help with a proper set up to suit your needs. Hope that helps.

Well now I am thinking full set, I don't want a rake and I like the idea of RC103's in the light grey color which would go good with my Rhodium silver. That way I could do the Toyo's all the way around and have them as track tires and drag tires and just drive them around town to look mean. They would not be DDs but I would have to get a hydraulic jack so I could take them on and off at home. This means cleaning the garage.
Like these? I also don't want to deal with spacers and the HREs are built custom for the car and tires.
