Discounts on 991.2s?
I really have the itch to add a 991 to the garage next to my 997.2. I'd like to get a 991.2 but was wondering how long it would take before dealers started discounting them? I know they just came out and it would be pure speculation but for the guys that were in the market for 991s when they first came out, when did you start noticing and hearing about dealers discounting them? I'm hoping to find one sitting on the lot towards the end of the year and be able to get a nice chunk off a tts. Am I being realistic?
The 991.2s don't appear to be a drastic redesign of the .1s, so my thought process is they won't be as "in demand" as a newer model.

Ok that is about what I was thinking and hoping. Not having my 997 for months will be like getting a new car and should hold me over until Fall/Winter.
I think the rawness of the 997.2 will complement the refined 991 and make the ultimate garage combo.

You should be able to get a good discount now . I did on an ordered one and my car will be here in a couple of weeks. They actually made a good many mechanical changes under the skin , including a new fuel system, larger injectors , larger turbochargers for the S model , new intake design and revised front suspension geometry. The most impressive change is the claimed lap time of 7:18 at the ring which blows the .1 out of the water and is even faster than the GT3RS.

Each will serve its purpose plus it will be cool in a couple years because my son gets his license so we can roll around together

There is about 11% in the car from MSRP to Invoice and PNA does not usually dump trunk money in this car so hopefully they over produce the car and the dealers under sell them = nice chunks off. But getting 15% will be a unique situation IMHO unless the car is a hard sell (stupid amount of options or a long sitter).

If you don't want to wait then a 6% number is probably feasible in just a few months post delivery if the production is heavy.

Very true... while I was looking for another Turbo S in Oct of last year I found that the 15's that had been sitting for over 6 months could be had for that 12-15% number or even more. Walters Porsche had a nicely optioned Agate TT-S with an msrp of 195k and was advertising it for 165k and it still took over 3 months to seel (it sold this month).
