Yeah track prep can ruin everything. Once I have my new tires on these pumpkins and one other thing I'll probably get in on a private track rental to make sure prep is adequate.

Mine was a black WS-6 LT1 6-speed 97, which is cool in a kind of weird, fun 90's way, but yours is still in your driveway, which is way cooler in a 2016 kind of way. My next car was a LS1 Camaro SS, which eventually got a 396, a cage, and a 12-bolt, but I caught the Corvette and Viper bug after that (dot-coms baby!) and never looked back. Now I have this horrible problem where I can't even daily drive something with less than 550hp stock or else I "do research on the web" until the problem is solved.
I'm going to go "do research" about 991 Turbo wheels now.

Had some friends in town who never experienced LC so I thought I would oblige. The video is anticlimactic but at least the exhaust sounds good! I don't think my car feels that fast, but I'm jaded. My passengers are not car people (they are into trucks and jeeps) so to them it felt really fast. They described it as "like a roller coaster."
A far more entertaining LC vid is from back when I had my R8 and I had a drunk girl as a passenger (second vid).

KA,
Remember, do not underinflate tires, start on the higher end and thus avoiding the possibility of snapping an axle.
I usually start with higher psi; tires may spin a little and that's okay. You can reduce psi in one to two psi increments until it hooks with very slight wheel spin. This should be ideal for this platform and keeping you from breaking any axles.
Many guys think less psi is better; often it is not! Generally, 997's and 991's P-cars on stock suspension do not handle lower psi's too well - most of the time.
You appear to have the necessary 1/4 mile racing experience; my advise above is more than likely common knowledge to you.
Regardless, have fun and do your thang sista.
Thanks,
E-Gear

Spent the weekend at the WannaGoFast Georgia 1/2 mile.
Best run was 155.8 and it ran pretty consistent 155 throughout the weekend. (Cicio was not the driver, I was just racing under TSM sponsorship). 155 was my expectation, so I am not disappointed at all. I still only have exhaust and a tune.
Had fun... got a little too much sun and not quite enough sleep. Typical for a racing weekend.

Minor update... went for a mountain drive with friends and ended up with a couple nice pics. It would be cool if I could say all those tire marks are from us doing a bunch of doughnuts, but that is not accurate.

Look how bad *** Mr Purple is!! Crazy how aggressive the GT3RS looks and performs.

Yes, the Ultraviolet (or as I prefer to call it, poppin purple) and Miami Blue are both beautiful colors. Look great in person and in pics. I don't have the patience for the additional attention that a bright color brings, but some people don't mind.
