Some record setting runs...
Thought I'd share. Sent to me by a local customer. Just a few weeks ago we installed GIAC stage 2 software and a Tubi race exhaust on his car....that's it. No other mods whatsoever. Stock intercoolers, stock turbos, stock tires, stock everything, and full weight. Pretty darn impressive I thought.

I'm not sure to be honest but if I had to guess its probably VP unleaded race, maybe VP109 or 103, since I believe that's what's in the pumps at the track.

Very impressive Tom.
I'm finding this car is very quick GIAC tune only with my pump 91 and e85 blend. So quick I have no desire to mod it further. Have only done very limited vBox testing one 60-130 run 6.65 seconds and a couple 0-60 runs all 2.4 - 2.5 no prep just getting an open road driving to work.
I might try putting my 997.2 19x12 rear wheels on with 325 30 19 r888's to see if I can dip the 0-60 in 2.3 or even 2.2 seconds.
Without exhaust or intercoolers its pulling power beyond 130+ mph top end I could feel it at the one airstrip even I attended but I would expect with r888's I can hang 0-130 with the more heavily modded 991's.

Have you run your 991 in the half mile? How did it do?

AMEN to that!
Agreed. I mean, look at what I have done thus far: ALL STOCK (1,200 miles) COBB tune only and race gas - running mid 6.60's 1/8 (low 10.30's 1/4) and looking to clip off some 6.60's or lower (10.20's) this Friday.
And yes, I can tell this car needs at least an exhaust system and perhaps IC's along with the appropriate tuning.
Thanks,

Yeah I ran it a couple passes at shift sector back in February. I was pleased with the races. Top speed ok at low 160's. Kinda hits a wall over 130 though. I had my 997.2 as well that day and there is a huge difference after 130 mph where the 997.2 keeps pulling hard beyond 130 thanks to the larger factory turbos. My 991 also has the aero kit maybe that slows it down at those speeds not sure.
In my 991 TTS i got the opportunity to line up against the fastest stock turbo 991 TTS at our SoCal airstrip events (noflyzone and shift sector). It's the black PP tuned bolt on car. No other 991 could beat him. He even trapped over 165 at shift sector a true half mile. Those PP tunes are aggressive. Anyway for our race it was a dead even launch and I pulled about half a car to 130 and then the PP car crept on me and got me by a half car. I have a vid of it on my YouTube page. Even though I lost there was no shame in that and proved that with just a tune pump gas 91 and a little blend of ethanol I could hang with the fastest bolt on 991 in SoCal.
These events definitely put a beating on cars. My clear bra had some rock pitting thank god I had it put on just before the event otherwise I might have gotten chips in the paint. Made me decide to leave my 991 home for these events it's too new and too nice to get beat up. So it's now retired from airstrip duty.
