Guys... It's becoming clearer that the Middle East times are in fact possible and may not have been due to the track not being accurate.

Amazing results.

True Dat! Great MPH

Now we have to work on our ET's to match theirs. As we all know, ET's win races, not MPH.

Thanks,

It will be awesome to see lower 9's here! And it is lots of fun which is the best part! I think the tracks definitely matter, it's just more a matter of very top notch prep.

Tom, thanks pal and also for the quick support getting Mark the y pipe to match his system. From the beginning all you cared about was a happy customer. Thumbs up!

My pleasure Sam/Mark. Glad to be able to help on such a cool project, with the added benefit of sharing a small percent of the bragging rights since we've got a couple parts on the car.

144mph trap speed is seriously fast! I bet with a good launch, maybe a 1.50-1.60 60' time, you'll see a slight decrease in the trap speed, but I'm willing to bet this car does lower than 9.80et. If we're taking bets I'm saying just north of 9.70 on a well-prepped track.

I have yet to run on a track out here in california that was prepped properly.
It help when the guys who are setting the records have control over the track prep.

Amazing results.

ET's do win races, but I also do 1/2 mile and 1 mile racing so it matters there. The Big MPH shows you what kind of power this thing is putting down. So yes while the ET is not great, I wasnt expecting anything shattering with 750hp to the Stock Pzeros. With a decent track prep and a few more adjustments I could probably get it down in the 10.18 range and with Some Perilli SS maybe a 10 flat. My Pzeros have 12,000 miles on them with 2 laguna seca days and a 1/4 mile day on them before this event so they are pretty worn out. So at some point I will put some new street rubber on them and give it another go, but next up is drag radials

Thanks for stating this.

Our results have been questioned so much as we had gone 9,5s and 146mph with VTG turbos almost a year ago, im glad to see some people still remember that and gives back the credit

Congratulations to Mark and to people who are involved, enjoy it in good health.

Just wanted to chime in here with "wow" and a "way to go!" That is epic. I don't even think my car does 144
I can't wait to see your time w/ the DRs.

E-Gear I understand your statement as you are a old time (not your age lol) 1/4 runner and it is he who gets to 1/4 mark first that wins!!

BUT

on the streets & street rolls, mph USALLY wins races as you would have a faster car when rolling.

Being I am a street guy I would take a 10.3 144 trap car all day long over a 9.5 135 machine. If the OP met that same 9.5 on the freeway that wanted to do a three honk pull, the OP would walk him HARD....about bus length or more walk...almost a little jog......you get the point

What if she runs a 9.7 or 9.8 at 143-145? And then cruises home across the state

No pressure MB!

I understand all this...and yes, I am an old school drag racer...street and track. I had a high horsepower car in the past; my gone and almost forgotten TT Gallardo. It was a Bear from a roll, but a cub from very low mph and standing races vs. cars equipped with decent power, traction and driver.

And because of this, I understand the importance of traction over power. Often under many street battles, traction (WITH A GOOD DRIVER) with some decent power win races.

Sure, having the power to run all out during those Mad Max (3 honk) races is great, but remember, it also depends at what MPH the race begins. Believe me, it matters!

BTW, given the example above, I'll take a 9.50 car over a 10.30 car ALL DAY LONG...why? Because a 9.50 car would run a lot faster than 135mph; believe me brothas...I KNOW. No bragging, just sharing.

All that being said, Mark's dyno results are great, his 1/4 mile attempt(s) with crappy street tires shows potential.

Nowadays with this 991, I am more of the mindset of doing the most I can with less...95% of my racing is done from standing (track & street) the other 5% from roll but usually from low MPH and not from high MPH to 180mph and beyond like many super high power cars like to run.

To each their own. Build your car ( street or race) for the intended usage, and work with a tuner who is willing to listen and work with you. Mark clearly found his goals and a great tuner...I think Sam at ByDesign can help you run high or low, just tell him what you want.

Thanks,
E-Gear
