RedGutz Defeats the 570s in the Half Mile
Not even close. My 1.596 60 foot time vs 2 seconds for the 570s sealed the deal:

Front facing camera:
This was taken on July 23, 2016 at the Slipstream 1/2 event at Mid-State Regional Airport.
Unfortunately I only got 2 runs in as at the end of my second run near the finish line, my car ran over a big bump in the runway at about 156 mph and my left front tire made contact with the wheel liner, ripping a part of it right off the car. Car was totally drivable home after we ripped off a little more of the wheel liner to ensure the left front tire was clear but that was the end of my runs.

I heard the Northeast heat wave wasn't really helping you guys.
A friend with a GTR that ran consistent 171mph at the last event was struggling to hit low 160's this time. And even TighTT's 997.2 TT which hit 169 at the last event couldn't get past 163 this time. Hopefully you guys will have some nice cool air at the next one!

I'm curious, was the 570 stock. If so, it's hard to believe it could out trap you. It looks like with a dead even start he'd beat you. That just doesn't seem possible. Stock for stock, sure. But with your mods, you should kill a 570 in both acceleration and trap speed. Am I missing something?

He totally fell asleep too. I think stock its capable of 1.6x or 1.7 60fts.

As far as trap speed goes my car was saddled with about 420 pounds of driver and passenger ---that being myself and my adult son. That did not help trap speeds. Plus it seemed to be pretty affected by the heat. My trap speeds on the same runway in March were like 161 or 162 and only 155 or 156 at this event. Also the 570s only had a driver and no passenger.
No the 570s would not of been me with an even start. My ET was more than .2 seconds faster than his and again I was carrying a tremendous amount of weight and his car had one driver and no passenger and the driver was a hell of a lot smaller than me.

FWIW Car & Driver ran a 10.7 and trapped 134mph in a 570S for comparison purposes. Seems that a stock 570S and a stock turbo, tuned/bolt-on 991 TTS are about dead even in trap speed and close in ET.
