Talk to me about intercoolers..
Hi all.
After getting bored with my 2014 TTS and needing more power I spoke to DMS in the UK and got them to install the following;
Cargraphic valvetronic exhaust and headers
Ipd y pipe and plenum
Remap.
Car pulls like a train but after a couple of hard runs you can feel the loss in performance so feel it would benefit from some intercoolers.
What would you guys recommend and what gives the most bang for buck?
Thanks in advance.

Hi
Did you do the high flow cats as well? A good set of intercoolers will definitely help you with this problem as well as provide a little more top and performance with the proper tune. Let me know if I can help you with anything!

What you're experiencing is pretty normal for tuned cars that are still using the stock intercoolers, unfortunately. After a few hard pulls, the intercoolers will get heat-soaked and their recovery time can be quite long.
A good set of aftermarket intercoolers (like ours) will use a much more efficient core which will recover from those back to back hard runs more quickly. Our also feature 18 effective cooling and air passage rows, which is 3 more then the factory intercoolers, as well as a full hose kit which both help with the increased air flow needed for tuned cars.
Once you have intercoolers installed, your tuner will be able to "turn up" your program a bit as well, which will yield you an average of another 50-60hp/tq at the wheels, which is always nice.
The only challenge you'll face with our intercooler kit is the upper connection to your IPD Y-Pipe. Since the IPD is longer then the OEM, it will not mate up directly with our upper carbon fiber pipes. However, the boys at IPD should have a solution for that, as they've recently installed a set of our coolers on their own company car.
