2014 GT3 or wait for 2017 TT?
I've driven the. GT3 and 2014 TT for comparison.
The TT torque is nice. But the GT3 has such a raw feeling and nice screaming engine and exhaust note.
I plan to track a only few times a year mainly spirited weekend driving.
For those who have owned both or have driven both which would you rather have?

You can still take the TTS and track it and have it as a daily driver. I do love the high revving GT3 as well and guess it depends on my mood at the moment on which car I would choose. Good luck and you will be happy either way you go.

Haven't owned both but ordered a TT after realizing you can pretty easily rent a race car for track days. Arrive and drive typically starts around $1k/day for the car. Might be worth looking into before you decide what's best for you.

Anyone use a GT3 as a daily driver?
#6
I do! However, I have the 18 way seats and not the buckets. Easily a daily driver. I would still go turbo since you will drive a few times a year on the track

I haven't owned a GT3 but I have done some laps in one Great car handles awesome couldn't ask for anything more, But I do track my turbo its lowered and I run dunlops or trofeo r's . So when I drove the GT3 I kept trying to stuff the pedal in to the floor boards and waiting for the car to go faster bottom line I missed the power of the turbo and with the proper set up a turbo can run faster lap times than a GT3 it may not feel quite as precise but drive it like you stole it and you won't be wondering if you made the wrong decision.

Would springs and pdcc be a good set up?
How does it drive with lowering springs?

I was debating the 991 GT3 or GT3 RS but decided they just weren't enough. And the 991 Turbo is a bit boring (IMHO sorry everyone) so thankfully Porsche is making what we think is the 2018 GT2 RS. Just got my deposit in.

Hope you get an allocation. What kind of mark up did you agree on?

My deposit gets me the right to be third in line (at fortunately a very high volume dealer) to pay "market". Likely $50-$100 over. Possibly even more. Should'a bought the 918 when I had the chance

Yes the 918 would've been the way to go. If you get your deposit to auto gallery those guys were asking 150 to 200 K over invoice on a GT three RS

Yup I'm hoping the economy tanks before late next year lol.

Yep me too, Ive got a list of goodies to get when the next depression hits. FYI I ran/drove down to my Porsche dealer who is medium size and I am now on the list as number 5 which means I will most certainly need lots of luck on my side. There was a 918 for sale there asking 1,450,000 it was delivered about 1 year ago for about 930,000!
