991 turbo S Exclusive Edition
Figured I would post this here for those who may not have heard about it... The upcoming 911 turbo S Exclusive Series/Edition.
Only 500 to be built
Est. 600HP
Weight reduction (lightweight) w/ carbon fiber hood and fenders and magnesium roof
Carbon fiber interior bits
Special color choices and striping
Worth looking at or simply genius Porsche AG marketing? No indication of price yet but est. >$250K

My local dealer said the base price was $258K. However, the car can still be upgraded from there (i.e. Burmester, axel lift, lange change assist, adaptive cruise control, interior leather / alcantara, etc).
I'm not too interested in this particular model (agree that the wheels are cool, but no thanks on black brakes) but I'd love to order some of the new CF parts for my current car like the rear diffuser & CF hood (likely not an option).
If you go to the Porsche website you can see two robotic cameras livestream footage of the car. Sort of cool.

Wheels are kinda neat, but it sounds like a largely cosmetic package with a bit more boost set in the ECU to justify a much larger premium over a TTS.
Im happy with my simple TT. This is starting to get to GT2 money and I don't see the upgrades justifying it. But as another poster said in a different thread on this car - forum trolling car enthusiasts are not the target audience.
This seems like a car built for a Saudi prince or near-billionaire to gift to a cousin so they can go to car events together.

I agree . However it does signal the end of the 991 TTS current model encroaching as Porsche squeezes , maximizes and tweaks the current machine to push sales till the new generation comes along .
I just want those wheels . Could those be had so early into launch I wonder ?
