Sold the Cali T Bought a new 2018 488 Spider

It's here and I ran an exhaust note comparison between it and the Cali T before the Cali T was loaded on the truck to Tampa. This car is the bomb. I got it out to the closest twistys and the car is like glued to the road. It gets through these turns way faster than the Cali T and the 991tts. The car sounds amazing when the valves are open. I have only put on about 30 miles and will probably limit the driving until I get the paint protection on in two weeks.

Thanks! No racing seats for me. I like the Daytona so I have those in full electric with plenty of bolster adjustment and lumbar. Makes it easier for me to handle it for longer. The legroom is less than the Cali T or Porsche. That is the only knock on the car but I knew that going in.

Awesome! Curious, I've always wished Ferrari would do a clear engine cover on the Spiders. Or at least a window port. Has anyone ever done that or requested it? I think that's my only object to the Spiders.

Thanks. This thing is a blast to drive. Very stuck to the road and easy to drive. The car is very responsive and the way it gets through esses and sharp curves is just amazing.

Ferrari had a track event at COTA on Thursday and I drove my car.
I put down three laps in a row that were 2 seconds faster than my single fastest ever lap in the 991 tts. This car is fast at the track and very manageable in the corners, I like the way it drives much better than the Porsche but that's not a knock on the Porsche.
I need a better data collection system than the OBDWiz. It sampled at 10s/s but the data doesn't update at that rate, more like once per second. If anyone knows of anything like the Cobb AP for the Ferrari I would like to know about it because this data capture isn't acceptable to me.

Thats a beautiful car on and off the track
Do you buy track-day insurance or risk it?
I've been buying insurance recently through Lockton, but I might stop soon.

No track day insurance, I am fairly cautious. I had the car in RACE which is about like Sport Plus so TC is on. Even with that stuff on the car will step out so I don't push too hard because I am trying to have fun and best my lap times but not set records.
