Review Kline Stainless Steel Exhaust for 991 Turbo
Enthusiasts,
I recently spent a good deal of time researching aftermarket exhausts for my 2015 (991) Turbo. After a great deal of reading, I decided on the Kline (Stainless steel) exhaust with HJS 200 Cell Cats. Here were my goals:
-different more exotic sound (over stock)
-NO DRONE (as I road trip in my car as often as possible)
-Wife and daughter proof
-enough of a difference in sound/tone to make it worth my $/time
I had the great pleasure of talking to both Sam (samboTT) and Felix from Kline. Both were truthful and frank about what the Kline system is and is not. I ended up getting my system directly from Felix (though I plan to use Sam in the future when I decide on a Tune). I really appreciated Sam's no pressure discussions via text and phone. You can really tell this guy LOVES his job. Felix kept me informed through the entire build phase of my exhaust. He shipped it directly to me and I received it three days later.
Now to the fun stuff:
I scheduled my install at the local Porsche dealer and Cesar (Mechanic) went to work on my car. He even called me to come look/hear it after he was done but before he put everything back together to make sure the sound was what I was expecting. Cesar was concerned that the Kline exhaust sounded the same as the stock exhaust when he started and rev'd it a bit. I explained that is the mastery of this system and that it sounds almost stock (until you open it up during driving). I approved of the exhaust and he went ahead and put everything back together (good as new) and he also installed a new air filter for me (since he had everything apart - might as well) and I also had 4 new tires installed (Michelin Pilot Sports). Cesar is an awesome mechanic so any of you Porsche folks looking for a great mechanic in Iowa - Cesar at Lujacks is your guy.
The drive home...
I cant tell you how much I was smiling on the drive home. I hit the sport button, gave the gas peddle a quick foot press and off I go with that exotic sound all around me. Absolutely what I was looking for...On the highway it sounds the same as stock, only when you press on the gas does the system come alive. Exotic in tone but doesn't scream "Listen to my crazy exhaust". Also, on the downshifts, the burbles make me grin ear to ear.
For those of you on the fence about upgrading your exhaust - don't hesitate. I have typically changed cars every year or two but cant seem to find anything better than my 911 Turbo so have decided to keep this one a while. It checks all the boxes for me. The exhaust note was really the only thing that was disappointing to me and this has fixed that issue.
Bottom line: Kline exhaust = great tone, great service, and great smiles!
Please dont hesitate to send any questions. Happy to engage in this discussion and help others looking to make an upgrade.

Video
George- Here is a video I took During install ( when Cesar called me to come approve everything before putting it back together.) Hope this helps.
P.s. total stock sound but it sure does come alive when driving it, though not obtrusive or annoying.

R11rs. I have Driven cars with Cup tires and while they are nice on the track they are not good for daily driver duty. Any touch of rain renders the tires useless and almost dangerous. The super sports have been great so far. Reduced road noise (compared to the pirellis) and plenty of grip for spirited driving. They look good too. If I was Only tracking the car, then I would have gone with the cup tires.
