Introducing the AWE Tuning Porsche 991 SwitchPath™ Exhaust for the CS and C4S.
An intensive research and development process has led to this. AWE Tuning’s finest Porsche system to date, backed by our unprecedented AWE Tuning Sound Satisfaction™ Guarantee.
Track and Touring, all in one elegant SwitchPath™ Exhaust.
The AWE Tuning Porsche 991 SwitchPath™ Exhaust includes integrated valves designed to afford drivers the best of both worlds: A Track Edition Exhaust and a Touring Edition Exhaust, all in one.
The AWE Tuning Porsche 991 SwitchPath™ Exhaust responds to the exhaust valve position commands sent from your Porsche’s ECU dependent on your throttle input. This means that the AWE Tuning Porsche 991 SwitchPath™ Exhaust will transform from “Track” (The SwitchPath™ valve directs exhaust gasses away from the side mufflers, for Cup Car levels of “announcement”) to “Touring” (The SwitchPath™ valve closes, routing exhaust gasses through the stock side mufflers, for a sophisticated, signature AWE Tuning tone, at a volume slightly above stock). Exhaust volume change matches the driving style: Aggressive throttle input elicits aggressive exhaust volume; tame throttle input elicits tame exhaust volume.
And for PSE-equipped Porsche’s, all console button controls are completely retained.
Tips, please.
AWE Tuning Porsche 991 Tips for the Porsche S and 4S are an optional upgrade with our 991 SwitchPath™ Exhaust. These tips are 90mm, angle cut, have a beveled edge, feature the AWE Tuning logo and are 100% T304 stainless steel. And better yet, they are double walled for resistance to heat discoloration. AWE Tuning Performance Tip Sets are currently available in Chrome Silver, with Diamond Black coming soon.
Performance, unlocked.
The AWE Tuning Porsche 991 SwitchPath™ Exhaust shows midrange gains of 20hp and 25tq at the crank and weighs in at 7.5lbs less than the stock unit, accomplished by replacing the stock center muffler with AWE Tuning-engineered strategically sized straight pipe sections.
PDK Drivers Rejoice.
This system was developed first, on a PDK car. The exhaust was created to be 100% PDK friendly. In normal “non-sport-mode” this system will remain 100% drone-free. We guarantee it:
Introducing The AWE Tuning Sound Satisfaction™ Guarantee.
We’ll cover your labor. We’ll provide a full refund. But we won’t have to.
Our Porsche 991 Exhaust has all the AWE Tuning trademarks: Perfect fitment, sound, durability and looks. In the unlikely event that you don’t love the AWE Tuning Porsche 991 SwitchPath™ Exhaust as much as we do, you have thirty-days from the purchase date to replace it or return it. Many have inquired about the system, and more specifically it's sound. Sit back, crank your speakers up, and enjoy.

The car that we used for testing did not have the package on it. At this time we are not sure what performance or sound benefits would be realized by adding the exhaust to an X51 car.
If there is anyone in the Tri-State area that has an X51 car and wants an exhaust upgrade, please send me an email directly. I can work out a discount in exchange for allowing us to use the car for some dyno testing.

Just got this exhaust installed on my car this morning. Very straightforward. I have not spent a lot of time behind the wheel but the exhaust delivers on its promises so far: the quiet mode is as quiet as the PSE and the loud mode is definitely improved (louder + higher pitch close to the red line, better sound during upshifts and downshifts) without begin obnoxious.
My main goal was to get something more 'present' than PSE while still being able to drive around town and listen to the radio
So far so good. I'll post a more complete review once I've had the opportunity to record sound clips this week end. More info already posted in my 'Journal'

After comparing part numbers, we've found that the AWE Tuning 991 SwitchPath Exhaust is compatible with Powerkit equipped cars. With that said we always like to get a vehicle in here to do a physical test, but have not done that just yet.
