GothamHistorian is infamous around these parts
I can't really say that it's much of a difference over the 997 in appearance. I see the changes to the nose and tail but overall, it is very much 997 in it's appearance. The interior is completely revised, though. I'm going to have to wait to drive the first one to see if it's worth the trade in on my 997.

love it - still an evolution, but the rear end really makes leaps and bounds in terms of looking more modern

i think it's gonna be a stunner like the 997 was then 997.2. Although the changes are minor, after driving you will notice how it is small yet so large.

It's a nice evolution. It has evolved into a sleeker design. Lower, longer, sleeker. It is moving closer to an Aston or Ferrari in appearance.

911's were never "sleek" in appearance historically IMHO. They were stout muscular sports cars.

While someone above said the 991 instantly dates the 997, actually the way I see it, it instantly moves the 997 into the class of loved classic Porsches and Porsche designs.

Awesome video. You can really see the rear tails.
What I'd like to know is if there's an improvement in drag coefficient making it more aerodynamic.

Did anyone notice that the new Boxster appears significantly LONGER than the 991? Today the 997 is 3 in longer than the Boxster.

It shouldn't be... I assume it's the way the photo was taken, probably taken standing on a chair positioned fairly close with a wide angle lens.

You going to tell me, they used the same led lights from the 997.2 generation......Mix feelings about this, to me there isnt much change at all, i feel the 993 to the 996 to the 997 was more of a change then from the 997 to the 991(my .02 cents).....

I will not be able to afford it --> but I wonder if the 991 will have an option for the Burmester audio setup in lieu of Bose

At first I thought that pic of the yellow 991 was official and I was almost disappointed.
Then I saw this yesterday. I would've like something slightly more drastic, but this will suffice.
