allocations

Dealer called and I'm offered a 991 allocation.

I don't think I'll take it because each time I spec the 991 it is at least $120k. I can't seem to shed certain options and I just can't justify $120k for a non-turbo.

I'll probably wait a year and see what's going on used and what may be new on the lot.

Oh well.

Agreed. Also I thought general consensus was to avoid first year models, but does not seem to worry some people.I suppose they have to have latest and greatest.

I will wait for them to shake it down after they have used the general public to do this for a year or so and see what enhancements are made for the second year.

What are you talking about? There are HUGE differences between the s and the base model...starting with 50hp. And dealers option out base models very differently from s models, so the differences become more jarring when they hit the dealer lots.

I am glad so many 6speeders are thinking like this because it means that I am not the only one in the boat. I am just going to pick up a leftover 2013. it will probably be blue too since it is such an unpopular color, but I like it. I almost picked up a blue v8v, so a blue 991 will be a great match for what I am looking for.

the plan is to order from factory (like last 4 cars), so dont really care what is on lot. yes besides the 50hp (which i doubt my ButtDyno will notice) from what i read i dont really see anything that justifies the extra $$$. still researching
