Diablo79 is infamous around these parts
MT or nothing!!

Wow, please please please Porsche, don't go to the dark side...I wanted a Ferrari my whole life, until they stopped making a manual transmission. I don't care about the .2 miliseconds I lose at the track because I DO care about the feeling of executing a rewarding 5-4-3 rev-matched downshift coming into a corner..please don't take that away from me

Stopped my dealer to spec out my 991 - was told that as of now, all incoming cars are PDK - no allocations for 7 speed MT. Launch cars will be PDK and they weren't even positive that by May (when I need my car) if the 7 speed MT will be available. Anyone have different info (I hope so)?

Agreed, PDK is fastest around any track, but 4 seconds alone of that 7:40 came from PDCC according to Porsche. Maybe another 4 from the better chassis (certainly not an unreasonable estimation) and another 1 maybe 2 from DEM. If I were to guess PDK might gain 3 - 4 seconds at the Ring, just a guess.

it depends on how much HP they will add to each model and how much both cars will weigh. i think a new 991 GT3 with PDK could accelerate in like 3.4/3.5 seconds to 62. that´s still half a second slower than the Turbo but not a whole second like before and faster than a 997.1 Turbo.
i think such a GT3 could cannibalize Turbo PDK sales, esp. those without the need for the 2 additional seats.
I hope we will soon know why they don`t put a PDK in the next GT3.
